CHRRD Director Attends Global Justice Meetings in Canada 

17th June, 2003 - Mashood Erubami, Executive Director for the Centre for Human Rights Research and Development (CHRRD) is spending a fortnight in Canada, for meetings and speaking engagements with global social justice organisations in the cities of Montreal and Calgary.  

In Montreal, he is attending the Triennial Planning Meeting of  the Canadian volunteer-sending agency CUSO, and will be making a presentation at their Annual General Meeting.  He will also be visiting the International Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development.

Later in the month, in Calgary, Alberta, Mr Erubami will be guest speaker at events sponsored by the Immigration and Refugee Board, Prairie District (9th Floor, Fording Place 205 - 9th Ave. S.E, 25th June, 09.30 am) and by an initiative of former CUSO coöperants, the Calgary Supports Peace in Africa Campaign (Calgary Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, 26th June, 07.30 am).  The topic of his presentations will be "Redefining Human Rights In Africa And Keeping Vigil On Democracy In Nigeria."
