Educating for Peace Leadership Project
in Nigeria

Goals

To educate, teach and learn about peace; the values, attitudes and behaviours that reflect respect for life, for human beings and their dignity, and for all human rights; the rejection of violence and commitment to the principles of freedom; justice and understanding among peoples and between groups and individuals in Nigeria.

Objectives

Strategy & Infrastructure: to design & implement an educational framework & curriculum for educating for peace

Skill Development: to educate peace leaders & instructors, youth leaders & peers

Implementation: to design and implement a vehicle for practice, integration and sustainable development of these new peace values, attitudes and behaviours into the fabric of Nigerian society.

Participation: to partner & engage others in Canada & Nigeria to support this goal.

Fundraising: Goal & Objectives

Goal: To raise over $40,000 in support of education, research and development of an implementation plan for Educating for Peace Project in Nigeria

Objectives:
To educate, raise public and corporate awareness of the challenges in Nigeria and the need for peace education in the largest populated African country
To promote and gain support for the value of educating for peace as a means towards sustainable development in Africa
To promote and gain support for the Educating for Peace Project development and implementation in Nigeria
To educate and support Bayowa Adedeji in researching and developing an implementation plan as a leader for Educating for Peace Project in Nigeria
